Electric bikes are an ideal form of transport, you still pedal and get exercise but without getting into a hot sweat and getting exhausted when pedalling hard up hill. On a LifeCycle electric bike you can use the setting on the handlebars to adjust the speed and the amount of assistance the motor gives you from no pedalling all, letting the motor do all the work, to no assistance at all by turning the power off or using half power and everything in between. LifeCycles work the way you want them to

LifeCycle Electric bikes flatten the hills and make cycling really enjoyable for you, but you will know never know till you try it.

Read our testimonials page and see what other have to say. So come on don't be shy it cots nothing to find out give us a call and talk to us, or better still come and have a go on an electric bike in our large safe traffic free testing area. Come and see what you've been missing. Testimonials

Cycled into work this morning a bit earlier than usual and it was still a bit dark so of course I had my lights on. Two on the front, two on the back, and an all-round light on my helmet. I definitely feel safer being so well lit up.

I often put the lights in day especially if it's a bit dull out there, for the sake of a couple of cheap batteries it's really worth it.

We have had a local plastic extrusion company make us a special bracket designed to mount twin rear lights on the rear rack and it works really well. Much better than trying to attach them to the rear forks. We don't even charge for it. Buy two rear lights and you get the bracket to mount then for free.

How's about that then!

The weather has been really cold lately and so electric bikes need a bit more protection than ordinary bikes. The cold won't affect the bike itself all but batteries don't like being very cold and so they don't work so well in winter. This applies to all batteries, just think of all those cars that refuse to start on a frosty morning when they are perfectly ok in the summer.

So if you have to leave your bike out in a cold garage or shed overnight, be aware that your bike might not go quite so far on its normal charge.

Always put your lights on dull mornings because other road users are thinking about getting through the traffic and not about you on your bike, so be aware of other road users and give clear signals before making any manoeuvre, and ride carefully

I came to work on my bike this morning and the rain just poured down it was a torrential rain storm I could only just see the car in front of me really dangerous but I had my twin lights on the back and front of my bike and my helmet light on so I was very visible so I felt quite safe. I always keep waterproof over trouser in my pannier so I was ok. When I got to my office I was completely dry and ready for work. And the bike was ok. LifeCycle electric bikes are completely water proof so the electrics are safe in wet weather and it's on occasions like this where you see the value in buying the best, and the best is a LifeCycle Electric Bike.

We have been getting a lot of new interest in the LifeCycle Traveller with the three speed selector. This fold up electric bike is so powerful that most people only need the middle or low speed but if you have a very steep hill to climb just select the high speed/power and you will just sail up effortlessly.

There are some cheap copies of the Traveller but the only similarity is that that they look kind of similar in pictures, though in reality they are not as well built, the frames are much chunkier, and they don't have genuine LifeCycle batteries. Don't buy a copy, get the original Traveller it will cost you less in the end

One of our customers had had his bike stolen this morning. He was furious. He came in to get a new bike and this time he bought one of our high security locks. Something he should have done when he bought first bike.

Bikes are the most stolen items so it's vital that you lock yours whenever you leave it unattended, and always use a really strong lock. Some of the locks on sale in other shops are so weak and pathetic they can be cut with a small pair of side cutters from a charity shop for £1. It's almost as if they want their bike to be stolen.

The locks we sell are in a different league 25 mm (1") of twisted stainless steel rope encased in knuckled armour plated steel tubing, and then the whole lock is set in a soft plastic sleeve to protect the bike from being scratched. The bad guys will take one look and simply go else ware to steal a bike.

LifeCycle Electric Bikes are delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Lyons to the position of Sales Director. We have known Steve for a number of years and are very pleased that he has joined the company. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience which will benefit the company enormously and we are very much looking forward to a long and prosperous association.

You should always were a helmet, after all it's your safety we are talking about. The LifeCycle helmet is very special. Firstly it looks really good and you don't feel odd wearing it. Made from a single moulded one piece construction it's very tough and its very light. And talking of light, it has a built in fibre optic red light moulded in to the back and the edges all-round the base which can flash as well as a steady light, so cars further back can easily see you and be aware of you long before they get near to you on the road. Everyone at Electric Bike World wear these safety helmets whenever they ride the bikes. Nothing is more important than your safety.

Road safety

is so important and with so many cars on road and car driver's busy thinking about where they are going and what they will do when they get there, it's no wonder that cyclists have to be extra aware of their surroundings and do everything they can to stand out from the crowds of cars, busses and Lorries.

Being highly visible is a must when you are out on your bike. Wear day-glow yellow jacket or tabard or at least a yellow sash and put your lights on, it's only a battery and they're cheap enough. Put the lights on to flashing mode, even in the day time. Don't worry it is legal to have flashing lights on a bike, all of Boris's London hire bikes have front and rear flashing lights day and night.  Our LifeCycle front lights flash at the sides as well so cars coming you from the side can see the light, and there is a quick release button so you can just slip the light off the bike and take it with you to stop it from being stolen, and now you will always has a really bright, mini hand torch with you.

The LifeCycle rear light replaces the rear reflector, it's actually lighting up reflector which fits neatly in place of the original reflector at the back of the parcel rack. It's bright, it flashes for safety, and it can be seen from both sides of the bike and can't be obscured by your coat or a pannier. These lights are the perfect companion for LifeCycle electric Bikes. call us for more information on these or any other of our accessories for electric bikes.

The new Classic electric bikes have just arrived in their new livery. Now you can choose to have them in rich dark metallic green, or metallic dark purple, and now they all have silver graphics. They look so smart, and though they are only £1119 they look like they should be much more expensive.

These bikes are going to be really popular because not only do they have Tektro brakes and the latest upgraded LifeCycle 250 Watt motor which makes them so effortless to ride, they look and feel really expensive, and classy, and they make you feel like a million dollars when you ride them. What more can you ask from an electric bike?

Come and give one a try and you will see what we mean.

We're going great guns today it's really kicked off, the phone hasn't stopped ringing, as soon as I put it down it rings again. I've no time even to go to the loo and poor old Andy in dispatch can't get the bikes ready fast enough, as soon as one lot is sent out more bikes are ordered. It's just as well we've got more stock due in soon or we would be out of stock. That's because we've got the best electric bikes in the world! No doubt about it.

A new shipment of new Harrington electric bikes has just arrived, when we say new, they are designed to look old and traditional but they are of course new. An old fashioned bike just like they used to be in the olden days, but it's electric.

They get admiring looks everywhere they go, but people just looking at them though they like what they see don't know the half of it.

When they have a go on them they are always surprised at how great they are all, because all the really hard work is taken away because as the built in motor automatically comes on to help when you need it. This makes it effortless to climb hills, it just flattens the road and makes cycling a real pleasure, and they look so smart in black with antique gold lettering, and they go so well, and that is why everyone loves them.

January 2012 is off to a great start. Just sent our 4th Bike off to Scotland in the first week, those folks over the boarder know a good thing when they see it, as do the locals here in the south. Eight mountain sports have been bought here locally in the same week, and it's still cold and windy so here's to the summer and some warms sunshine, and good weather for electric bikes.

The Gadget Show raced our LifeCycle electric bike against a 1000 watt off road power scooter on the tallest mountain in the UK on national TV. The road legal LifeCycle just slaughtered the scooter...It was a whitewash. Go to the home page or Click here to see the video.

The LifeCycle is the best electric bike there is, and now it been proved on National TV. The video is on the front page of the ELECTRIC BIKE WORLD web site.

Take a look for yourself and watch a lifecycle mountain sport being put to the test. Ortis on the other bike cheated and set of before Suzy Perry on the mountain sport was ready, so he stole a big lead before she was able to get her helmet on, but that made no difference, because she soon caught him and went sailing past him as he could only watch helplessly while she roared off into the distance and finished miles ahead as the clear winner.

Ben Nevis is a real hard challenge for any electric bike; the LifeCycle electric mountain bike was as good as its name and did the job beautifully, on a real mountain on telly in front of millions of viewers. If ever you needed anymore confirmation that lifecycles are the best electric bikes now you have it for sure.

When you ride a LifeCycle it makes you smile...Now doesn't that feel better? Get about effortlessly and really enjoy your cycling. No more getting all hot and bothered, no more getting exhausted, and no more straining up hills. On LifeCycle electric bike life is fun again.

Riding a LifeCycle makes you young again and it gets rid of wrinkles instantly. No need to use "lorry oil" Just gently pedal gently a LifeCycle and you will be beaming from ear to ear. Because you're worth it. If you want the best it has to be a LifeCycle, and you know that only the best will do.

The all new LifeCycle Mountain Sport Endurance is the first electric bike to achieve over 100 miles on a single charge. Now that's what I call "Power to the people" The Endurance is the first and only electric bike to go for over 100 miles with needing to be recharged. And this is the first and only electric bike to have over 1000 watts and 28Ah of smooth Lithium battery power and to genuinely achieve this kind of distance.

If you take you're biking seriously and you really want proper long distance electric bikes, or if you don't want to pedal and only use the twist grip throttle, then this is the bike for you.

Some people want an electric bicycle, but really they don't want to pedal, or in some cases for health reasons they can't pedal, and they know that using other electric bikes just on the throttle alone will soon run the battery down.

That's where the Endurance comes in, because while we always recommend that you pedal assist your bike, this electric bike has so much battery power that you can indeed ride it all the time with no pedalling at all and the battery will last.

If you have a long way to go, the only way to go is on a LifeCycle Endurance

Read the independent review of the LifeCycle Mountain Sport by world class Triathlon cyclist Marie Kille. At first she said ...Electric Bikes...are you kidding me? But after she rode one for a week, just read what she said.

Here is a world class cyclist raving about LifeCycle electric bikes. You would not expect a world class racing cyclist to endorse an electric bike but when she borrowed a LifeCycle Mountain Sport for a week she just loved it. She let all her family and friends have a go and they immediately said they wanted one.

She said as "It's the perfect form of transport, it's easy, and anyone can do it even if you have some health issues. It's comfortable and much quicker than a car or bus in town and it's healthy and really enjoyable.

The wonderful LifeCycle Classic electric bike is now even more wonderful. Brakes are so important on a bike they are the only means of stopping so they must be the best and most reliable possible. That why the LifeCycle Classic comes with top quality Tektro Vee brakes as standard. No cheap Chinese brakes on LifeCycles. If you want the best it has to be a LifeCycle.

Please remember to keep your tyres pumped up hard. The ideal pressure is 60 PIS this is marked on each tyre and also in the handbook supplied with every lifecycle. It is really important to do this, and please remember that new tyres often don't keep their pressures and go soft quite quickly. Ideally you should check them every week. Soft tyres will slow your bike down and drain the battery more quickly as the motor tries to compensate for the extra drag caused by the soft tyres. Also the bike will not ride so well and contrary to popular belief the grip is less and cornering more hazardous. So check your tyres daily at first and you will soon learn how often they need pumping.

A good floor pump is the best and easiest way to keep them at the correct pressure without too much effort. The pumps we sell have a built in gauge and a red marker at the correct pressure so it's easy and pleasant to use.

The LifeCycle Alpine Sport is just as powerful as the mountain sport but with a step through frame and swept back handlebars. If you prefer not to have a cross bar but don't want to sacrifice power up the steep hills, and you want a smart looking elegant bike, then the Alpine Sport is the right bike for you. Many people want a pair of bikes matched in power but different styles, that is why we offer a choice of electric bikes with and without a cross bar. While the Mountain Sport has a cross bar with straight handlebars, the Alpine Sport has no cross bar and with swept back handlebars. This makes the Alpine exceptionally easy to get on, and really comfortable to ride. The riding position is quite straight with no strain on your arms or back and gives you a nice view of your surroundings as you cycle along

With its sleek easy to mount frame and very low centre of gravity makes these electric bike very stable and pleasant to ride. They look elegant and you will feel like a million dollars when you are out and about on it. Just pedal it gently and you will fly up hills effortlessly.

Do you yearn for the olden days when the pace of life was a bit slower? The Edgar Harrington traditional retro bike is a modern electric bike but with all the modern technology of the latest electric bikes concealed with in it. You can just imagine Miss Marple popping into the village on it.

The excelent range of LifeCycle bikes just keeps getting beter. The Mountain Sport range that began with the original and iconic LifeCycle Mountain Sport has been joined by the Alpine Sport stepthrough bike the sport 500 super muscle bike with its 500 watt motor, and now the Endurance sport with an amazing range of over 100 miles.

The new LifeCycle Traveller Electric folding bike has a front wheel disc brake for extra safety and reliability. It also now also has double wall alloy wheels just like the big LifeCycle mountain bikes.

Electric bikes just don't get any better than this.
