Advice on how to keep your electric bike in perfect running order

All bikes and particularly electric bikes benefit from regular checks and adjustments where necessary to keep them running at their best.

Please take a few minutes each week to have a general look over your bike and to make any adjustments that may be needed to the brakes, tyres and gears.

Keep you tyres pumped up, you will be surprised at the difference it makes, and how much better the bike goes when the tyres are at the correct pressure. You can find the correct pressure in the manual that came with your bike. It is also written on the side of every tyre.

Remember to keep the chain lightly oiled, don't drop oil on the chain, that can make a mess, just hold an oily cloth around the chain and turn the pedals and allow the chain to slide through the cloth to smear the oil on.

Then add just a few drops on the derailleur gear wheels.

Never power wash your bike, and don't use WD40 or similar, just stick to bike oil such as "three in one" Don't over oil it.

Wash your bike with car shampoo, water and a soft cloth to keep it looking good.

You have made a wise investment in your Electric Bike and with just a few moments of regular maintenance it will continue to serve you well.

If you don't feel confident enough to make these adjustments please call us for help.
